Today Skyler wasn't feeling any better and still having a really rough day, so after work I made an appointment with the doctor to have him checked out. They thought it could have been an ear infection, but she said his ears looked clear. Then she listened to his breathing and heard wheezing. So they did a breathing treatment, and listened again. She said it almost sounded worse. So the other doctor said it could be RSV. They want to watch it for a week and see if it gets better. They said the cough could last for 6-8 weeks, but they weren't going to give him anything for it because the cough is protecting his lungs, preventing him from catching pneumonia. I'll take the cough if it keeps him safe! He also suggested putting a humidifier in his room while he sleeps. So we did that, added some Vicks to his feet, some 'Breathe' essential oils to his chest and Brandon and our neighbor gave him a blessing. Here's to hoping he gets over this quickly!
