2.18.12 - Day 349

The boys had a good night's sleep last night, especially Skyler. I was a little worried about how he would sleep in the pack 'n play because he doesn't usually sleep anywhere but his crib. He actually did fantastic! He didn't wake up once and was happy as could be when he woke up this morning!!! Thank goodness because we have a big trip coming up in a few months and I don't know what we'd do if he couldn't sleep without his crib!

After he took his morning nap, we decided to go driving around and find some fun places to go hiking. I think he was most happy to just be out of the car!

The boys had so much fun being the leaders and showing us where to hike! 

Brandon helped them climb up this huge rock, apparently it was sloped at a steeper angle than I thought. It was kind of funny watching them walk though, because they wouldn't take normal steps, they were walking very carefully, which was good! 

I zoomed in as close as my camera would go and told them to wave. Carter didn't dare move his hand much further away from his face and Gage didn't dare move at all! They were completely safe, but I'm glad they now have an understanding of heights.

After they were bored with that place we got back in the car and drove around a little more until we found this cool little pond. It was pretty deep and all of the white rocks surrounding it reminded me a polar bear enclosure at the zoo. The boys had a blast running up the hill to get some rocks and then running back down to throw them in the water. We had some snacks and drinks and played here for a good half hour. 

Skyler was a good sport and let me take about a million pictures of him...but I won't post them all, since Brandon says they all look the same! Here are some of my favorites.

Then watching them run up the hill, haha! I think he wanted to go with them so bad he kept trying to climb up the rock he was holding on to. Next year buddy, next year! 

After they had their fun at the watering hole, we got back on the road to drive home and they were all out within minutes! 

When we got back to the house, we made dinner and then Brandon and Gage went rabbit hunting over the fence while Carter and Skyler swam in the tub! 

Skyler had so much fun in the tub. He would pull himself up to a standing position and then let go so he would fall on his bum and splash. Carter thought it was hilarious so he started doing it with Skyler, oh my goodness, they were having a blast!!! I took a video of it, but I probably shouldn't show their cute little bare bums on here. :(
