2.11.12 - Day 342

Warning: Picture overload!!!
Today we had Gage and Carter's birthday party! We decided to start combining their parties this year because they are 8 days apart and Skyler's is just shy of 3 weeks after Gage's birthday. So to make it easier on everyone (me mostly...haha) we combined their party!
Carter ~ 4 years old
Gage ~ almost 5 years old!
We had an Angry Bird birthday party and my amazingly talented sister-in-law, Stacy, made these wonderful cake bites for us instead of having a cake! They turned out better than I could have imagined they would!
Carter liked the red one the best so she made him a big one!
And Gage's favorite was the yellow one!
Here's a close up of some of the others.
And the beautiful finished product!
After the kids played outside for a while...yes, it was super nice today and they actually got to play outside! When they came inside they opened some presents...
and we sang Happy Birthday to them! They were quite impressed with these cool little creations! Carter sat at the table and ate about 80% of his by himself! Gage just wanted to play with all of his new toys!
As always, Jenn, Kyle and Jenn's family were there to celebrate with us! Here is the most precious picture of Jenn & Carter!

After their party was over, their friend from across the street invited the boys over to his birthday party. He turned 10 and has a 6 year old little brother that loves to play with Gage and Carter. So he was sweet enough to include them in his party! They had the guy from Scales 'N Tails come over with all of his reptiles. Here are the boys patiently waiting for the animals!
He put on a really good show and all of the kids had so much fun!

He had tarantulas, scorpions, turtles, some huge lizard that looked like a monitor, but I can't remember the name of it...Russian something, a bearded dragon, a crocodile, tons of snakes, including a 16 ft python...I missed that one because it was way past Skyler's bedtime so we went home, but Brandon said the python scared Gage. I don't blame it!
About half way through the show sweet little Carter lost interest, so he came back to play patty cake with Skyler!
After we got home the boys loaded all of their fun new toys into their suitcases to take on vacation with us!

I think they are a little excited to get out of here! Haha...that was what they wanted from us for their birthdays this year...was a trip! So we bought them their own rolling luggage and we will take them on a fun little trip soon!
Thank you to all of you that came to the boys' party and celebrated their special days with us! They thank you so much for their wonderful gifts and love you all so much!
